Very nice little place! The ambiance was fine but the food is where it's at. We asked a nice employee what to get as first timers and he recommended our dishes which were quite delicious. Overall it was a very nice experience.

Great place for grub and drink!! Absolutely loved the meatballs and outdoor seating was convenient.

Grassa is a local chain that specializes in delicious handmade pasta. I got the carbonara and it was delicious, made with bucatini noodles, a fried egg, and either graincele or pancetta bacon i have no idea. but it was delicious!!! Dad got the lasagna chicken parm and thought it was a unique but unexpected twist. I also got their ginger peach lemonade and omg!!! So yummy. I love pasta!

This was honestly the best pasta place I've been to in my life. Yes this is a bold claim but hear me out. First, the price is so affordable; living in the Bay Area, I'm used to high prices for anything, so this was a breath of fresh air. There's also no sales tax, making it even cheaper. The pasta itself was super al dente. The cooks knew exactly how to prepare this, but my favorite was really the truffle sauce. The only thing really missing was some sort of protein - pretty much just pasta and sauce. Will come back anytime I'm back in Portland:

A super casual pasta place in DT. you order at the counter and then sit it a table where they'll bring your food. I really wanted to try the squid ink pasta since that seemed the best from other reviews, but when I went, it wasn't an option :c We got the fried Brussels sprouts to share, I had the clam gnocchi, and my friends tried the hazelnut pesto and pasta with red sauce and Italian sausage (lol forgive me. I don't remember the actual name) The Brussels sprouts were okay! They were a bit bitter, and the mustard sauce they added doesn't add much to the greens themselves. The pasta on the other hand... the clam gnocchi was so beautifully delicious. The gnocchi had been pan fried, so they had this nice crisp outside and fluffy potato-y inside. The clams didn't taste super fresh, but that's okay. The sauce was divine, would've been so good to have some bread just to sop up the extra sauce. The hazelnut pesto and pasta with red sauce were super good too. I especially liked the pesto - nutty, fresh, garlic-y. The red sauce was not as good, just plain tomato, but the pasta was cooked the best there, perfect amount of bite. Overall, super solid place! It's super casual and quick and the prices are super fair for the portion sizes!

Heard that this is a must visit place when in Portland. I ordered the black truffle papardelle, garlic bread and a cocktail (forgot the name of it lol). The pasta was delicious! The texture was just right and coated perfectly in the sauce. The truffle flavor was not too overwhelming which I liked. The order of garlic bread came with two huge pieces. I wish I got to try the fritto misto because I love calamari but it would've been way too much food haha (maybe next time!) I do like how this place is more of a casual dining spot. If you're in Portland and in the mood for pasta and something quick, this is the place to go!

Order and then sit kind of spot. The person taking my order was a bit rude in the way that she seemed like she was in a hurry to do something else rather than taking my order. The squid ink pasta was a bit too spicy for my taste. The shrimps on it were great though. Found the carbonara a bit odd to have a fried egg on top? And the cured pork they used were too hard to even eat/chew. However, pasta was perfectly cooked. It is one giant room with some high ceilings and a lot of bar stool seating with a few normal seats/booths. A bit loud to have conversations without yelling but overall it's a nice little spot for a quick dinner.
